According to data from the International Olympic Committee (IOC), there have been 102 events in which the athletes competed for medals – more than at any previous Winter Olympics. The first one, in Chamonix in the French Alps, had 16 events. During the Second World War two games were cancelled, while the last games before the war were held in Garmisch-Patenkirchen under Nazi rule.

Attendees indicate Confirmed, Maybe or Declined (hopefully that means they are watching the game at home…). The organizer receives update emails for immediate event interest feedback.
Matchmaking
The event organizer can proactively make introductions via the event management system.
Messaging
Emails can be sent at any time to fans.
