Salah’s Transfer Value Has Increased The Most

Mohamed Salah is having an incredible season. The Liverpool and Egyptian forward is the Premier League’s leading scorer, hitting the back of the net 24 times in the current campaign. He joined Liverpool in a club-record £36.9 million transfer from Roma last June and his market value has skyrocketed £66.4m over the past six months, according to the CIES Football Observatory.

In this particular ranking, you can forget about your Messis and your Neymars of this world. The Premier League dominates the list of the biggest transfer value rises in Europe with six out of the top-ten players plying their trade in England. Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson is in second place with his value going up by £66.1m. His teammates Leroy Sané and Gabriel Jesus are also present in the ranking while PSG star Kylian Mbappé has also seen his value go up by an impressive £48.6 million.

Brazilians Boast the World Cup’s Most Valuable Team

Brazil is sending the most valuable team to the FIFA world cup 2018 in Russia. German transfer market portal Transfermarkt estimates that the 25 players on the team have a combined market worth of 673 million euros. Germany and France share the second spot with 636.5 million euros each.

One big difference between the three teams is that of most of the Brazilian players don’t play in their home league (88 percent), while only 41.7 percent of the German national players are employed abroad and 58.3 percent of the French players score their income in foreign leagues.

England is in the top ten most valuable teams too. Its cadre is worth some 279 million euros. However, it’s one of the world cup teams with most players playing at home. Only 4.3 percent play on foreign pits.
